CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS

TAKELEY FC SEAL BRAND NEW FA FUNDING - 2018

PRESS RELEASE - 2019

Pat Curran, Chairman of Takeley Football Club, is pleased to announce that they have acquired the freehold of the land at the football ground.

Pat would like to thank the Clubs former president, Gordon Silvester, who was instrumental in bringing the contract to fruition.

The land was previously owned by the Corey-Wright family who have been extremely generous over the years, letting Takeley play on the land for just a peppercorn rent.  This generosity has assisted the Club in becoming what it is today.

So, after over 100 years of existence, Takeley FC is pleased to say that they are now the proud and official owners of their own ground.  This wonderful achievement will be a major step forward in securing the future growth of the Club and for the local community.

TAKELEY ANNOUNCE NEW 1ST TEAM MANAGER - 3rd MAY 2016

Takeley FC are pleased to announce that Marc Das has been appointed First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Marc is a very well-known and highly regarded manager from the Essex Senior League, who has had several years playing at Grays, Hendon and Bishops Stortford. After suffering an Achilles injury Marc had a 10-year stint as player manager at Saffron Waldon before moving to Sawbridgeworth as Manager for the last four seasons.

Marc commented, “I am looking forward to coming to Takeley, a club with both the ambition and background staff, to help achieve a high status going forward.   My ultimate goal is to start winning some silverware with progression into the Ryman League. I look forward to working with everyone at such an ambitious, forward-thinking club.  One of my first tasks will be to create a new youth team, to allow valuable progression from youth, through reserves and onto the first team”.

Pat Curran, Chairman of Takeley FC added “Marc brings with him a wealth of experience, along with players and support staff, which will only enhance what the club already have in place.  I am personally looking forward to working with Marc to take the club to the next level. We would also like to thank Alex Martin for stepping in to act as caretaker for the team over the past few months”.

The management, players and volunteers at the club would like to welcome Marc into the Takeley family.
