Hello and welcome to Takeley FC. What a busy summer we have had!!

We have been working hard all summer and are pleased to announce the opening of our new clubhouse which seats 60 and gives us a brand new kitchen, new toilets, new disabled toilet, enlarged committee room and new bar. We would like to thank all the volunteers who turned up to lend a hand getting the clubhouse ready for our opening. None of which could of been possible without our GE & AF Silvesters. Their valued contribution is greatly appreciated.

As always, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the management, support staff and volunteers for all their hard work behind the scenes.

We welcome our regular supporters and look forward to seeing many new faces over the coming months. All are welcome!

U16s END OF SEASON REPORT - 2017/2018

The U16’s at Takeley had a great season 2017/18 being Royston Crow League winners! We experienced a big change with players leaving the club but also bringing in new talent to build the team that triumphed to win the league.

We had some big rival games against Stevenage and Hitchin which meant it was imperative that the lads must win all games and any losses could result in a change in league position.

We sadly lost out to both the County Cup and League Cup coming into the start of 2018 but with the correct mind-sets and work ethics during training and match days, the lads focused hard on the league and they succeeded.

Some big performances this year with golden glove awarded to William Redding who had a fantastic performance in goal for the U16’s whilst also making appearances for the U18 midweek side. Also, with league top goal scorer and golden boot going to Ed Atkinson-Purse.

The Takeley U16’s now are moving to being an U18 side within the Royston Crow League.

At Takeley, we are always looking to progress our players to the senior sides, and there have been opportunity’s for players to progress. A big well done to Dan Joannou and Will Redding who have made appearances this season with their strong performances through the season.

My role at Takeley FC now is to both coach the U18’s Sunday side, but to also coach the Reserve senior side with manager Alan Philpot and coach James Ted Courtenay.

I am also managing the progression of players going from youth/midweek sides to senior football.Liasoning with all managers in the youth and senior sides to make sure that we are progressing players and provide opportunities to excel within the senior sides at Takeley.
